Single High
+1 in the box. Beat our man coverage.
One deep safety, aggressive run fits, tight man or 3-deep behind it. Loads the box to stop the run and dares the QB to win 1-on-1 outside.
When it applies
Against heavy run teams; with lockdown corners and a rangy free safety.
+ StrengthsPlus-one run defender every snap; aggressive and downhill.
− Trade-offsOne safety deep is a big ask; play-action and double moves are terrifying.
